Templado, the world famous white stallion|actor from the Cavalia show, has passed away.
Bred in 1986 by Lusitano breeder family Delgado, based in the south of France, he was sold as a young stallion. After returning a couple of years later, he had lost all faith in humans. Daughter Magali Delgado and her husband, trainer of horses in liberty Frédéric Pignon, spent years to restore his lost trust. Because of Templado's initial aggression and restlessness they were forces to abandon their usual methods for working with horses and develop new ones. Magali's background as a dressage Grand-Prix rider combined with Pignons training at liberty were successful eventually: Templado became the star of the sensational Cavalia show, touring the world. Unfortunately that will have to happen without Templado's presence from now on. For pictures of Templado click here. |
