Surrogate mothers exist in the equestrian world too. Is surrogate mares a better description?

It still is a weird sight to me: a black friesian foal next to a bay warmblood mare, or an elegant warmblood foal next to a heavy draft horse.



Better get used to it: it will happen more and more in the future.
