Dutch Grand Prix horse Hexagons Ollright has been sold to Great Britain as a schoolmaster for Lady Pauline Harris. The 14-year old KWPN branded gelding was a Dutch team horse in 2005 and 2006.
Bred by Leunus van Lieren, Ollright is by Rubiquil (by Rubinstein) out of an El Corona dam. The chestnut was selected for the 2002 World Young Horse Championships and already competed at small tour level at age six at the CDIO Aachen. In 2004 Leunus' son Laurens van Lieren took up competing Ollright at Grand Prix level. The pair became silver medallists at the 2005 European Championships and 2006 World Equestrian Games. Van Lieren has his own dressage business based at Craig Rawlins' stables in Weert. Craig's brother Dane Rawlins is sponsored by Lady Pauline Harris and based at Hickstead, U.K. Lady Harris, whose husband made his fortune with the company Carpetright, also owns race horses and eventers. Lord and Lady Harris set up the Philip and Pauline Harris Charitable Trust in 1981 which donates to Medical Research and Education. Source: Eurodressage.com |
