Imagine this situation: purely hypothetical obviously. You have worked a good many years as an equestrian photographer, say around 25. You have photographed your *** off. You invite friends-colleagues whose work you value to join you. Together, you make more and more images. The database grows and grows and grows: pictures of Olympic Games, World Equestrian games, from all continents, of all the big stars in the sport, human and animal. Your images are published all over the world. Groovy.
After all these years, all this travelling, the worn-out camera's, all those clicks, there is image number 120.000. You think: that's nice, why don't I write a little news item for my site. Let me just check what the image is; what does it show? Do a quick search: click. Oh well. Uhmmm. Sigh. Click |
