Today the Dutch Queen Beatrix abdicates and her son Prince Willem Alexander is crowned King. The house of Orange has always had a warm relationship to the equestrian sports.



So we have many images of the royal family in our photo library. The Dutch riders were often visited by the Royals, at the Olympic Games, the CHIO Rotterdam and the CHIO Aachen.
Our own dressage queen Anky van Grunsven is one of four Heralds at the abdication. She has also met Queen Beatrix often.



In 2005 the Dutch equestrian community honored Queen Beatrix with an Equestrian Salute at the occasion of her 30 year anniversary as the Dutch Queen.
