Swiss dressage rider Sylvia Iklé will not be competing at the Olympics this year in Hong Kong. She decided this after collaboration with her veterinarians and a study of the testresults. Iklé is afraid that the weather conditions in Hong Kong will be too much of a strain on her horse. The horse Romario ridden by teammember Veronika Marthaler and owned by Silvia Iklé has also been withdrawn. This means the Swiss will not have a complete dressage team to compete in Hong Kong. Team trainer Jürgen Köschel, who did not agree with this decision, has resigned.
